Central York Wrestling – Code of Conduct

 

Participation in activities associated with the Central York School District  is a privilege.  To participate in these activities, I agree to abide and follow the Code of Conduct, which offers a general guide to my conduct.  Therefore, I agree to follow:

 

1. I will display conduct expected of me as a representative of CYSD, and conduct myself in a manner that I will not bring disrespect, or dishonor to myself, my family, my teammates, my coaches, Central York School District (CYSD) as a whole.
2. I will conform to all applicable local, state, and federal laws and any rules and/or regulations that may be established for competitions, camps, clinics or events in which I participate.
3. I will respect the property of others, whether personal or public.
4. I will respect all students, athletes, coaches, trainers and administrators and engage in no form of verbal or physical abuse.
5. In addition to the above, the following will/could result in disciplinary actions.
   1. Transporting, possession or use of alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, vapes, or Performance enhancing Drugs (PEDs).  Any athlete found to be in violation will immediately be suspended from participation in any events.
   2. Any physical damage to facilities, equipment, furnishings, or loss of items in a room that I am lodged, which will be paid for by those individuals assigned to the room in which the damage or loss occurs.
   3. Gross Misconduct (i.e. inappropriate horseplay, fighting, theft, etc.)
6. I realize and understand that if I violate this Code of Conduct I will be subject to disciplinary action.  The consequences of my actions could affect my opportunities to participate in school activities.  Disciplinary actions could include, but are not limited to, any one or more of the following:
   1. Expulsion from an event and being sent home immediately.  Athlete or parent/guardian of athlete will have to fund his/her own transportation home.
   2. Suspension/denial from participating in future CYSD sponsored events.
   3. Participation and/or completion of approved counseling program.
   4. Issue a written or verbal apology.
   5. Extended workouts with CAMS coaches.
   6. Extreme violations could affect your participation in the wrestling program.

 

I recognize that this packet and Code of Conduct does not establish a complete set of rules, which includes every aspect of appropriate behavior.  I have read the packet and code of conduct and understand that I will be held responsible for any violations of the code.  I will accept any disciplinary measures as deemed appropriate by the Central York  staff and accept to reimburse CYSD or the Central York Booster Club for any financial responsibilities due to the disciplinary measures and expectations outlined in this packet.
