The mission of the Central York Wrestling Program is to inspire excellence on and off the wrestling mat. Our goal is to provide our student-athletes with the opportunity to develop the skills, principals and mental fortitude necessary to succeed at the highest levels on the mat, in the classroom, and in life.

Our Keys to SUCCESS…

  1. Athletes first, winning second.
  2. Effort over outcome. Give 100% everyday.
    1. no individual is more important than the team.
  3. Environment of Excellence.
    1. You are a product of the people you spend the most time with.
    2. We will do our job as coaches to protect the environment and ask that you leave any negative attitudes/behaviors/complaining at the door. We are striving to build a winning culture and provide you with the best opportunity to accomplish your goals.
  4. You have to win in the classroom before you can win on the mat.
  5. Sportsmanship is EVERYTHING!
    1. Win or lose, we are respectful. Shake hands and hold your heads up as you walk off the mat.
    2. Respect the officials, without them we can’t compete. Let the coaches handle the officiating
  6. Open line of communication. We can’t help if we don’t know.
    1. If you see something wrong, say something.
    2. If something is troubling you, say something.
    3. Honesty and Integrity go a long way in the success of a program.
  7. Respect EVERYONE.
  8. Be a TEAM player.
  9. TRUST THE PROCESS!!
